Karla López Rivera is a New York-based footwear designer specializing in developing women's footwear from concept through completion. She earned an MFA in Footwear Design from the Italian school, Polimoda, as well as a BFA in Furniture Design from Rhode Island School of Design.

Karla aspires to become a women's footwear expert by working with independent projects, influential design houses, and both US and overseas factories, while continually practicing the craft in her machine room in Brooklyn. She loves being involved in accessory-oriented organizations, continuing her education, riding her bike, and traveling wherever shoes may take her.
